We are recruiting a Practice Nurse to work alongside our established team to provide high class clinical care to our patient population. As a vital member of our team, you will play a pivotal role providing and delivering prescribed programmes of patient care.
Main duties of the job:
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure monitoring
- ECGs
- Urinalysis
- Cytology
- Long Term Condition Reviews
- Routine, travel and childhood immunisations
- Contraception
- Peak flow measurement
- Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
- Maintenance and cleaning of general equipment including defibrillator and nebulisers
- Ordering of Health Promotional Literature
- Ordering of stock, as and when required
- Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels, as and when required
- There may be a requirement to undertake home visits

Health Care First Partnership (HCF) is a partnership formed by a group of high-quality practices: Dr Bance & Partners, Ferrybridge Medical Centre, Queen Street Surgery and FMC Health Solutions Limited (t/a Park View Surgery). We came together to deliver modern services that are high quality and will meet the needs of our patients into the future. HCF is a General Practice Partnership open to all patients living within our practice boundary within Methley, Castleford, Ferrybridge, Airedale, Normanton and surrounding villages. We work in partnership with our patients and our Patient Forum to provide medical care for our patients.
We are a Personal Medical Services (PMS) practice offering Primary Care Services for the diagnosis and prevention of disease. We help patients to manage their health and prevent illness. Our GPs assess, diagnose, treat and manage illness. They carry out screening for some diseases and promote general health and wellbeing. Our GPs act as a patients advocate, supporting and representing a patients best interests to ensure they receive the best and most appropriate health and/or social care. The Practice has a current list size of 31,500 patients and we are part of the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (formerly NHS Wakefield Clinical Commissioning Group).

Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse
- Willingness to learn and acquire new skills
- Recognised Diploma Qualifications for Long Term Condition Management (COPD, Asthma, Diabetes and Cardiovascular disease)
- Basic Life Support
- Cytology and Family Planning
- Full NMC registration
- Recognised Infection Control qualification
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check
