Door Supervisor/Security at Health and Safety Executive

Responsibilities

• Control access to the venue by verifying identification and checking tickets or passes for all guests, staff, and contractors.
• Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the premises and identify potential security issues.
• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid when required and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
• Enforce venue policies and manage crowd control during busy periods or special events to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.
• Perform regular patrols of the premises to identify hazards, check security equipment, and maintain overall safety standards.
• Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs for future reference and ongoing security assessments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security, surveillance, or loss prevention roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques to monitor activity effectively.
• Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations, including administering first aid if necessary.
• Strong observational skills with an eye for detail to detect suspicious behavior or potential threats.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with guests, staff, and emergency responders.
• Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable).
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods during shifts.
