As the Head of Intermediary Partnerships, you will lead the relationships for our Premier Partners within the broker framework. Your primary responsibility is to strengthen our partnerships, drive portfolio growth and client retention, and position Healix as their trusted health provider of choice. This role requires close collaboration with intermediaries and internal teams to identify opportunities, educate consultants on our solutions, and support new business. You will lead regular review meetings and maintain a proactive approach to relationship management and business development. As part of the broker framework leadership, you will need to prepare and present regular management information to the Commercial Director as well as departmental heads.

  • Proven experience in intermediary management within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Experience and training within Strategic Account Planning (such as Miller Heiman or similar).
  • Commercially minded with a track record of driving portfolio growth and client retention.
  • Skilled in delivering presentations, training, and education to external partners.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using Salesforce to track performance and present ongoing Management Information.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Intermediary Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Premier Partners within the broker framework. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with intermediaries to ensure alignment and trust. Conduct regular review meetings with intermediaries to discuss performance, address concerns, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Portfolio Growth & Retention: Work closely with intermediaries to drive portfolio growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Develop and execute strategies with the account management team to ensure high retention rates of existing clients. Monitor broker performance, providing insights and support to achieve shared goals.
  • Intermediary Education & Engagement: Educate intermediaries on Healix's solutions, ensuring they have a clear understanding of our value proposition. Support the development of tailored materials and training sessions to support intermediaries in promoting our services.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and client management, to align efforts and deliver seamless intermediary support. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and win new business opportunities. Provide feedback to internal teams on broker and market needs to influence product development and service delivery.
  • Market Positioning: Raise the profile of Healix within the intermediary community, positioning Healix as their trusted health provider. Represent Healix at intermediary and industry events, strengthening market visibility and relationships.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Build and maintain a portfolio overview of each Premier Partner to include metrics such as (not limited to); portfolio size, market share, competitor splits, growth vision and new business activity. Track and report on intermediary engagement, portfolio growth, and retention metrics. Monitor the effectiveness of intermediary education and engagement initiatives. Regularly update Healix senior leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Key Metrics & Monitoring: Broker Engagement: Arrange and host agreed number of review meetings and intermediary training sessions. Account Plans: Initiate and maintain account plans for all premier partners. Portfolio Growth: Working with the sales and account management teams achieve agreed increases in the size and value of intermediary-managed portfolios. Retention Rates: Maintain agreed client retention rates across Premier Partners. New Business: Value of new business opportunities identified and converted. Intermediary Feedback: Introduce and maintain intermediary feedback across agreed areas. Focus and growth (RAG) to be agreed by partner with the Commercial Director annually.
