Job Description

Location: Healix Group, Healix House, Esher Green

Join Healix and help shape clinical capability worldwide.

At Healix, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an experienced and innovative Learning & Development Partner – Clinical to lead the design, development, and continuous evolution of learning and capability programmes that support our global Clinical Assistance teams.

This is a unique opportunity to combine expertise in learning and development with an interest in healthcare operations, helping to create engaging learning experiences that improve performance, confidence, critical thinking and decision‑making across our international workforce.

Whether your background is in healthcare education, operational training, instructional design or organisational development, you'll play a key role in ensuring our clinical colleagues have the knowledge, skills and support they need to deliver exceptional service worldwide.

About the Role

As the Learning & Development Partner – Clinical, you will act as a trusted learning partner to clinical and operational leaders, translating operational requirements into effective and engaging learning solutions. You will be responsible for designing onboarding pathways, developing our Clinical Academy, supporting career development frameworks and ensuring learning interventions are aligned to business priorities, clinical governance standards and operational excellence.

You will work closely with clinical teams, subject matter experts, operational leaders and People colleagues, helping build capability across multiple locations and levels of experience.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Design & Capability Development

  • Design, develop, evaluate and continuously improve learning content for Clinical Assistance teams.
  • Identify capability gaps and create learning solutions that meet operational and business needs.
  • Ensure learning materials align with clinical governance standards, regulatory requirements and organisational values.
  • Monitor learning effectiveness through evaluation, feedback and operational performance measures.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Onboarding & Induction

  • Create and maintain structured onboarding programmes for clinical employees.
  • Design role‑specific induction pathways that support rapid integration and competency achievement.
  • Partner with operational leaders to define onboarding success measures and future capability requirements.
  • Deliver or support virtual and face‑to‑face learning sessions where required.

Clinical Academy Development

  • Lead the development and maintenance of Healix's Clinical Academy.
  • Build learning pathways across foundational, intermediate and advanced levels.
  • Work with internal and external subject‑matter experts to ensure content remains relevant and operationally accurate.
  • Support accreditation and credentialing opportunities with recognised industry bodies.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to promote the Academy as a key differentiator of Healix's expertise.

Career Development & Talent Growth

  • Support competency frameworks and career progression pathways.
  • Design learning resources that develop leadership capability, specialist expertise and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to talent development, succession planning, coaching and mentoring initiatives.
  • Encourage self‑directed learning and professional development.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Clinical leadership teams.
  • Support wider organisational L&D projects and business change initiatives.
  • Contribute learning expertise to projects, audits, tenders and accreditation activities.
  • Ensure learning solutions reinforce Healix values and customer service standards.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, Training, Capability Development or Operational Learning roles.
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing learning programmes and training solutions.
  • Strong instructional design skills and an understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Learning Management Systems or digital learning platforms.
  • Strong analytical, creative and problem‑solving skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within healthcare, medical assistance, travel risk management, emergency response or similarly complex operational environments.
  • Experience developing academies, career pathways or competency frameworks.
  • CIPD, Learning & Development qualification or equivalent experience.

Clinical Experience

We welcome applications from candidates with a clinical background (e.g. Nursing or Allied Health Professional experience); however, clinical experience is desirable rather than essential. We are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate exceptional learning and development expertise, instructional design capability and the ability to translate complex operational requirements into impactful learning solutions.

For candidates who wish to maintain active NMC registration, Healix is committed to supporting professional practice requirements. Subject to operational arrangements, we would facilitate opportunities to achieve the 450 hours of registered clinical practice required over a three‑year revalidation period.

Benefits & Culture

We offer UK employee healthcare benefits, and travel, medical and security assistance in every corner of the globe. Our purpose is to help people in difficult situations and we provide a supportive team spirit with opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.

Our values guide everything we do: Put People First, Think Independently, Earn Trust. Our core competencies are Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Problem Solving, Resilience.

What You'll Gain

  • The opportunity to shape learning and capability development across a global clinical operation.
  • Exposure to a diverse international workforce and stakeholder community.
  • The chance to create innovative learning solutions that directly impact service delivery and employee development.
  • A supportive environment committed to continuous learning, professional growth and operational excellence.

Required Criteria

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, training or instructional design.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver against deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Desired Criteria

  • CIPD or equivalent L&D qualification.
  • Experience designing blended learning solutions (e‑learning, virtual and face‑to‑face).
