Role Overview
We are seeking an In-House Lawyer to provide commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice across a wide range of business functions. As the In-House Lawyer, you will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Procurement, Operations and senior leadership, manage legal risk, negotiate complex commercial agreements and help the business achieve its strategic objectives in a fast‑paced, international environment.
About You
You will be a qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate and solid post‑qualification experience gained in a commercial, international environment.
- Proven experience in an in‑house commercial legal role, ideally within a global business.
- Strong technical capability and confidence drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts independently.
- Experience advising on professional services, government or central contracts in an international context.
- A pragmatic, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence taking ownership of a varied workload and seeing matters through to completion.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including:
- Client contracts
- NDAs
- Implementation, services and maintenance agreements
- Strategic partnership agreements
- Medical, security and assistance provider agreements
Required Criteria
- Law degree and 2 years' post‑qualification experience in commercial contracts
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Commercial awareness
Desired Criteria
- Insurance / Financial Services experience
- Experience of working in a regulated environment
- Experience in IP issues and dealing with IP infringements
