Overview
As a Specialist Neurodevelopment Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in our Neurodevelopment team providing high quality diagnostic assessments as well as, in some areas, post-diagnostic support to help children, adults and families understand their diagnosis both in person and digitally.
Some of your role can be delivered remotely and some will be delivered at our in-person clinics in Hereford and Worcester. You’ll be a key part of our in-person clinic team, welcoming clients and their families and ensuring a positive experience. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of colleagues and clients and maintaining an appropriate space for clinical sessions.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality diagnostic assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Offer post-diagnostic support to help children, adults and their families understand their diagnosis (in person and digital delivery).
- Deliver services remotely when appropriate and conduct sessions at our clinics in Hereford and Worcester.
- Welcome clients and families in clinic settings and ensure a positive, safe, and compliant environment for clinical sessions.
- Maintain health and safety standards for colleagues and clients and manage clinical space effectively.
What you need to have
- Field of qualification: Occupational Therapy; Speech and Language Therapy; Psychology (Clinical, Counselling or Forensic); or Mental Health/ Learning Disability Nursing.
- Clinical registration with HCPC or NMC.
- Must be ADOS or ADI-r trained and experienced (Desirable to be trained in both ADOS and ADI-R).
- Minimum of 1 year experience conducting diagnostic assessments and interventions.
