Ideal Candidate
As we continue to scale, we are looking for a second developer to join our team. This is a dynamic role providing an outstanding opportunity to grow with a hyper growth business. The ideal candidate:
- 3+ years of Shopify development experience
- Experience with HTML CSS Javascript/jQuery & React
- Moderate experience with Github Webpack Node.JS
- Knowledge of Liquid Templating, Shopify API, JSON
- Works well under pressure and enjoys getting things done with speed
- Thrives on taking responsibility and initiative, possessing the autonomy to make informed decisions whenever needed
- Loves learning and is curious about continuous improvement. Able to seek out and implement relevant feedback from colleagues.
Main responsibilities
- Improve site conversion rate by working with the Shopify theme API as well as the Front-End Shopify cart API logic for a truly custom user experience
- Work on various new features/projects across the business which require dev input. Unique upcoming projects include integrating our AI personalisation software into the site, developing an app and launching our Amazon-prime style membership programme
- Liaise with third-party Shopify apps and APIs to add functionality and enhance website capabilities
- Collaborating with the design and marketing team to take visual designs and turn them into fully functional Shopify Theme code, including semantically correct liquid syntax, components, and blocks that will allow page section re-use
- Manage the various dev requests as the first level of service for all employees and leadership triaging for the SR Manager of Ecommerce
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in frontend development, Shopify platform updates, and e-commerce industry standards to continuously improve skills and techniques
