Set in the beautiful Cornish countryside (as well as 10 minutes from the beach!) Healeys Cyder Farm is a family-run, year-round, visitor attraction and home to our very own Rattler Cyder! Your key role will be to deliver an exceptional brand experience across our retail and visitor experience departments. Leading the team daily to ensure high standards of presentation, service and upselling across our shop, site and tours. You will assist the Retail Operations Manager and act as an integral part of the management team to drive the efficiency and profitability.
Pay: £13.25 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a responsive and responsible duty manager within Retail and Visitor Experience, ensuring efficiency and excellence across daily operations, customer experience and team management.
- Aid the Retail management team in leading from the front, delivering engaging tours and demonstrating effective upselling techniques yourself – set a brilliant example.
- Opening and closing the farm in accordance with our security procedures and duty manager checklists.
- Ensuring each day runs smoothly by organising sensible break times for the team, checking future bookings/the weather and tweaking the rota accordingly to ensure we are appropriately staffed.
- Ensure a clean and tidy site at all times, with specific reference to Health & Safety.
- Mentor and train new and existing staff within their roles, helping them to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with the law in relation to the sale of alcohol and our challenge 25 policy.
- Stocktaking and ordering for the shop, ensuring comprehensive stock levels are maintained with stock rotation. Keep all stock looking its best, topped up and dust free.
- Attending trade shows, external events and pop up sampling stations on behalf of Healeys, including set-up and close down, and at times loan working.
- Liaising with group bookings/coaches and private tours - organising the requirements and ensuring a great delivery on the day.
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Fire and First aid procedures.
- To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality.
- Any other activity/tasks as and when requested by the Directors.
Work Experience
- Proven experience in shop/retail management in a busy environment.
- Working with EPOS systems.
- Accurate completion of financial compliance documentation and keeping records.
- Experience of working in a food and drink company.
Skills
- Excellent team leader with good delegation skills.
