Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is a family-run, year-round visitor attraction and home to the famous Rattler Cyder! Since the company was founded in 1980, Healeys has grown incredibly, with listings across big supermarket chains such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, in addition to our regional and national wholesale partners. With a multi-faceted production facility specialising in a range of products from ciders, wines, preserves and spirits, our business is thriving and has a very exciting future ahead.
A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy Logistics Team, to become part of an iconic Cornish business, and to make your mark as a Forklift & Warehouse Assistant. You will pick and dispatch products to our internal and external customers always ensuring 100% accuracy and delivery whilst maintaining our high standards of customer service.
Hours: 20 hours per week
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Competently use a forklift or other manual handling equipment to safely transport and store an assortment of palletised goods and materials across all areas of the site.
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for dispatch through parcel or pallet networks.
- Confidently and safely use a forklift to load and unload a variety of goods from vehicles.
- Receipt and dispatch goods, both internally and externally whilst ensuring all records are accurate and complete.
- Help manage all storage and movement of raw materials, packaging, finished goods and merchandise while it is on site.
- Assist in regular stock rotation and efficient material utilisation to reduce waste.
- Ownership of security of our stock and warehouse facilities.
- Complete inventory checks and stock-taking, as required, to a high level of accuracy.
- Communicate with other departments in the business to ensure the department delivers a high level of service.
- Maintain Health & Safety compliance across the department.
- To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality.
- Any other activity/task as and when requested by the Directors.
Work Experience:
- FMCG Supply Chain experience (Preferred)
- Warehouse and forklift experience (Required)
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment with significant seasonal demand.
Skills:
- A hands-on and can-do attitude to work, going over and above to support the various business functions.
- Meticulous attention to detail, focusing on quality of work and safety at all times.
- Ability to react quickly to changes, taking ownership of issues and creating solutions to keep things on track.
- Effective communication skills to ensure efficient and safe stock handling.
- Ability to work well in a team.
Qualifications:
- Forklift licence (Required - Preferably Counterbalance)
