About The Role

This is a varied and rewarding role where organisation, accuracy and people skills come together.

You’ll be responsible for supporting recruitment and onboarding, maintaining HR records, coordinating mandatory and professional training, producing HR reports and ensuring our HR processes remain compliant and effective.

Working closely with managers across the business, you’ll help ensure our employees receive an excellent HR service while supporting continuous improvement across our people processes.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

Support the Head of HR with the day-to-day administration of all HR activities.

Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, arranging interviews and communicating with candidates.

Manage the onboarding process, ensuring new starters receive a professional and efficient induction experience.

Administer employee lifecycle processes including contractual changes, probation reviews and employee leavers.

Maintain accurate HR records and employee files in accordance with GDPR and company policies.

Provide first-line support for routine HR enquiries, escalating matters where appropriate.

Support payroll administration by ensuring employee changes are submitted accurately and on time.

Assist with HR projects, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Learning & Development

Coordinate all mandatory and role-specific training across the organisation.

Maintain the company Training Matrix and ensure employee training records remain accurate and up to date.

Monitor training compliance and work proactively with managers to ensure mandatory learning is completed.

Arrange internal and external training courses, liaising with training providers and employees.

Support the administration of professional qualifications, apprenticeships and continuing professional development (CPD).

Produce regular reports on training compliance and learning activity.

HR Reporting & Compliance

Produce regular HR reports including headcount, recruitment, absence and training compliance data.

Maintain HR systems to ensure employee information is accurate and up to date.

Support compliance audits by maintaining accurate HR documentation and records.

Ensure confidentiality is maintained when handling sensitive employee information.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice (or be working towards it).
  • A minimum of one year's experience in an HR Administration role.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.
  • Experience coordinating employee training or Learning & Development.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within healthcare, occupational health or another regulated sector.
  • Experience using few HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Experience supporting payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
