Private Client Solicitor / Cilex – Full Time / Part Time (Milton Keynes)
We are seeking a committed and experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our well‑established and busy Private Client team. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts, Tax Planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection matters.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting, preparing and executing Wills and Codicils.
- Advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
- Handling Probate applications, Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration, and full estate administration.
- Advising on and administering Trusts, including lifetime trusts and post death arrangements.
- Providing inheritance tax, capital gains tax and general estate planning advice.
- Supporting and advising elderly clients in a sensitive and professional manner.
- Maintaining excellent client care and communication, ensuring all work complies with regulatory and firm standards.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and maintaining strong referrer relationships.
- Qualified Solicitor (ideally 5+ PQE) or CILEX Fellows.
- Experience across a broad range of Private Client matters including Wills, Probate, LPAs and Trusts.
- STEP qualification beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of HNW clients.
- Strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and a client focused approach.
- Ability to manage an independent caseload with minimal supervision.
- Ability to support junior members of the team with training needs.
