About the role
Our client is looking for a careful, methodical Stores Packing Operative to join their stores team in Leeds. This role goes beyond simple packing. You'll be responsible for preparing a wide range of goods for dispatch — from small, low-value items to fragile and high-value test equipment — where accuracy, presentation and final checks really matter.
If you take pride in doing things properly, double-checking details and sending goods out exactly as they should be, you'll fit in well with our client.
What you'll be doing
- Packing goods securely and professionally for dispatch
- Identifying and cross-checking products against paperwork and shipping labels
- Ensuring product descriptions, quantities and destinations are correct
- Carrying out final visual and paperwork checks before items leave site
- Working closely with colleagues to keep the stores organised, tidy, and flowing smoothly
- Transport goods between service department and stores
- Some days are steady and controlled; others require a bit more pace — but quality and accuracy always come first.
