Headway Adolescent Resources, established in 1999, has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality, holistic care to young people from all backgrounds. We're looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our established children's home in Langford and play a key role in supporting the team and delivering outstanding care to the young people we support.

About the Role
In this role, you will ensure young people receive a safe, positive and nurturing living experience while leading and supporting the Residential Support Worker team to deliver high-quality care.
- Work shifts to ensure the home runs safely, smoothly and in line with safeguarding expectations
- Lead and supervise Residential Support Workers, promoting best practice and acting as a positive role model
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies, procedures, legislation and the home's Statement of Purpose, and guide staff in applying these
- Build strong, professional relationships with multi-agency partners, families and the wider community
- Support care planning, young people's reviews and progress against individual plans
- Encourage young people to participate in decision-making within the home and the community
- Promote equality and anti-discriminatory practice, and uphold all health and safety and data protection requirements
- Attend required training and support learners working towards relevant qualifications where needed
Essential Skills
- Have a good standard of education and be working towards, or hold, a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
- Have a strong understanding of childcare legislation, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Have experience supporting young people who may display behaviours that challenge
- Be confident in report writing, numeracy, general administration and IT
- Be able to build positive, empathetic relationships with young people and be committed to achieving the best outcomes
- Have a motivational and supportive leadership style, with the ability to supervise and develop staff
- Have knowledge of national and local safeguarding procedures and protocols
