Your Role
We are on the lookout for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our dedicated team at our home in Badgworth, Axbridge. If you’re passionate about making a real impact in the lives of young people, this is the opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a 3-bedded children's home, leading a team of 6 to deliver high-quality care that enriches the lives of our young residents.
- Oversee the smooth operation and administration of the home, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Produce, update, and monitor plans and reports, demonstrating your organizational skills and flexibility.
- Lead, motivate, and develop your staff team in a positive and enthusiastic culture, including delivering training.
- Represent the company professionally to external agencies and within the local community, contributing to our growth.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people. You should have a positive, non-judgmental attitude and be dedicated to high standards of professional practice.
- Thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation and Ofsted inspection requirements.
- Recognized social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Children and Young People).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in residential care, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Must hold a valid manual driving license and have access to a car with business insurance.
- Willingness to undertake on-call duties (approximately 2 per month).
What We Offer
- 22 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
- Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first child (e.g., 3-bed home = 2 x £175 = £350 pcm).
- £2,000 car allowance.
- Ofsted Report Bonuses: £500 for a Good report and £1,000 for an Outstanding report.
- Non-contributory pension with a 9% employer contribution and company sick pay after 6 months.
- On-call payments: £10 per day (Mon-Fri) and £50 for weekends.
- Enhanced sick pay: 5 days full sick pay.
