PA Secretary – Family & Criminal Law

Worcester | Full-time | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

Headturner Search is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading Family & Criminal Practice in Worcester, for a PA Secretary to support a senior solicitor joining the firm in November. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary or PA who enjoys working in a busy environment, building strong relationships with clients and professionals, and being the person who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

You’ll work closely with a senior Family/Criminal solicitor, providing day-to-day administrative and organisational support and helping them manage a busy caseload effectively. The role will include:

  • Opening new files and carrying out conflict checks
  • Managing and coordinating the solicitor’s diary and appointments
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, other solicitors and professional contacts
  • Preparing correspondence and supporting the solicitor with day-to-day administration
  • Keeping files and case information organised and up to date
  • Helping to prioritise and manage a busy workload
  • Providing general PA and secretarial support to ensure the solicitor is able to focus on their clients and caseload

Ideally, our client would like someone to join before the solicitor starts in November, giving you the opportunity to become familiar with their systems, processes and way of working so that you are ready to provide seamless support from day one.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident dealing with clients and professional contacts. Previous experience within a legal environment would be highly beneficial, particularly experience supporting a busy solicitor. Knowledge of Family or Criminal Law would be an advantage, but the key is having the right organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities. You’ll be someone who naturally thinks ahead, takes ownership of your workload and enjoys being a trusted support to a senior professional.

What’s on offer?

  • Salary negotiable depending on experience
  • Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Office-based in Worcester
  • 25 days' annual leave + Bank Holidays
  • The opportunity to work closely with and support a senior solicitor within an established and respected practice
  • A role where your organisational skills will genuinely make a difference to the smooth running of a busy legal practice

Interested? If you’re an experienced Legal Secretary, Legal PA or someone with strong administrative experience within the legal sector and are looking for your next opportunity in Worcester, we’d love to hear from you.
