We are seeking a promising Group Accountant to join a dynamic and growing Worcestershire family business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily cashflow and bank monitoring, postings in Sage 50 and specific (ERP) Management accounts, P&L and balance sheets.
- Payroll, VAT, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Advising directors on financial strategy and ensuring accuracy in audit and compliance processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year‑end reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across subsidiaries.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors.
- Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and systems.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in an accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and consolidation processes.
- Excellent Excel and ERP system skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Query and Sage 50.
