Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Seamstress for an immediate start. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sewing and have experience working in a warehouse environment. This is an on-site position, Monday – Friday, to be worked Monday to Thursday 8am – 6.30pm and Friday 8am – 4pm Based in Lower Sydenham, immediate start temp for minimum 2 weeks Duties * We are looking for a seamstress to assist our Upholstery and Finishing team, ranging from simple tasks to box piping, and more detailed intricate work in both leather and other fabrics. * Experience with using a walking foot industrial sewing and overlocking machine would be an advantage. Requirements * Proven experience as a Furniture Seamstress in a similar role . * Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand sewing techniques. * Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines. * Ability to follow instructions accurately and adapt to changing requirements. * A passion for textiles and garment creation is highly desirable.
