We're supporting a growing business in Nottingham to recruit an Interim Management Accountant to work directly with the Finance Director. This contract will likely be around 3 months, however does have some potential to become permanent and offers a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to take ownership of the full management accounts process, working under a development focussed FD.

The Role

Working closely with the FD, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function, taking responsibility for both the end-to-end management accounts cycle and the hands-on detail. Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing monthly management accounts from start to finish
  • Preparing board packs and financial reports
  • Managing accruals, prepayments and journals
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting with budgets and forecasts
  • Getting involved in the day-to-day transactional and 'nitty gritty' finance work
  • Assisting the FD with improving processes and adding value to reporting

About You

  • Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) and actively studying
  • Experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
  • Comfortable working in a small finance function with broad exposure
  • Hands-on, adaptable and willing to get involved
