Job Description
Finance Manager | Β£50, - Β£55, DOE |
Not a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for the numbers to land.
This is a genuinely hands-on Finance Manager role within a small, growing manufacturing business where you'll take the lead on the finance function and have real visibility with the people running the business.
You'll own the end-to-end management accounts, monthly reporting, statutory reporting, cashflow, budgets and forecasts, whilst also providing commercial insight to help shape business decisions.
But there's an important bit...
You need to be happy getting stuck in.
You'll work closely with the transactional finance team, supporting with supplier payments, bank reconciliations and payroll checks/reconciliations when required. It's very much an environment where everyone pulls together rather than staying rigidly within their own job description.
' :
- Strong end-to-end management accounts experience
- AAT qualified, studying ACCA/CIMA, qualified accountant or QBE
- Confident with month-end, reconciliations, VAT and statutory reporting
- Strong Excel and accounting systems experience - Sage is advantageous
- Commercially minded, with the ability to turn numbers into useful insight
- Comfortable working with Sales, Production, Purchasing and senior stakeholders
- Someone who genuinely enjoys being hands-on
Manufacturing experience isn't essential.
What matters more is attitude, ownership and the ability to build relationships across the business.
This is a down-to-earth business with a real passion for what they do. It's not overly corporate, there aren't layers of hierarchy and you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact rather than becoming another cog in a large finance function.
If you're an experienced Management Accountant or Finance Manager looking for a role where you can own the numbers, influence the business and actually see the impact of your work, this could be a good one.
