Job Description Head of Finance | Β£55,000 - Β£65,000 There are finance roles where you're responsible for the numbers. And then there are roles where getting the numbers right genuinely helps change people's lives. This is the latter. You'll join a growing charity who are on the search for a Head of Finance to join the Executive Team and take genuine ownership of the organisation's financial strategy. This is much more than producing management accounts. You'll be advising the CEO and Board, shaping financial strategy, improving forecasting and MI, supporting new contracts and funding opportunities, and making sure the organisation has the financial resilience to continue delivering its work. What they are looking for: Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent. Strong senior finance (Financial Controller/Finance Manager) experience. Excellent budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and management accounts experience. Comfortable presenting to Boards and senior stakeholders. Strong commercial and analytical thinking. Someone who can operate strategically but isn't afraid to get into the detail. Charity / not-for-profit experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential. What you'll be doing: Lead financial strategy, planning and forecasting. Own management accounts, budgets and cashflow. Provide trusted advice to the CEO, Executive Team and Board. Support new contracts, tenders and funding opportunities. Strengthen controls, systems and processes. Lead and develop the finance team. Help shape the organisation's next phase of growth. This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller or Finance Manager to step into a No.1 finance position, with the chance to shape the function and influence the wider organisation.
