What you'll be doing:
- Managing WIP, contract accruals and margin recognition, and reconciling project positions to the GL
- Preparing management accounts, variance analysis and board pack commentary
- Owning the quarterly and rolling forecast process
- Reviewing project performance and cost-to-complete positions, flagging risk early
- Supporting entity and group statutory accounts under UK GAAP / FRS 102
- Leading and developing a small team
What you'll need:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong technical background in WIP, deferred income and long-term contract accounting, ideally from a project-based, construction, engineering or installation environment
- Comfortable working to tight PE deadlines
- Strong Excel and modelling skills
- The confidence to challenge and influence subsidiary finance teams
Nice to have: experience in a PE-backed or leveraged environment, M&A or ERP implementation exposure, and prior mentoring of junior team members.
