We're partnering with a growing independent accountancy practice based in Bradford that has recently gone through an exciting period of change, including new leadership and a move to modern offices. They're now looking to bring in an Accounts Senior / Accounts Assistant to support the team, take ownership of client work, and help develop junior staff.
The Role
- Client Management: Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors
- Year-End Accounts: Preparing accounts for limited companies
- Tax Work: Personal tax returns (directors) and corporation tax returns
- Bookkeeping: Supporting clients with day-to-day finance
- Training & Mentorship: Supporting and developing junior staff
- Client Interaction: Building strong, long-term relationships
This is a hands-on, client-facing role with real variety and responsibility.
What We're Looking For
- Practice background with around 5 years' experience
- Confident preparing year-end accounts and tax returns
- Comfortable managing clients and setting expectations
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Experience with Xero, Sage, or similar software (Dext beneficial)
- CIS experience advantageous but not essential
