Job Title: Director, Business Development Company: Heads, a global CRO Location: UK Heads is looking for a Director, Business Development to join its ever-growing global team. This role is crucial in raising the Company’s brand and profile, identifying new business development opportunities, closing new accounts, and maintaining the existing portfolio within the pharma and biotech market. This is a full-time position. Key Responsibilities: Attracts new Clients and builds strong relationships with them in assigned region(s). Maintains good relationships with assigned existing Clients and ensures consistent, proactive account management. Contributes to the development of Business Development Objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensures completion of relevant goals, and reports metrics and measurements to the Company’s Management. Coordinates filling of Requests for Information (RFIs). Coordinates Requests of Proposal (RFPs) of the assigned accounts. Coordinates preparation for bid defense meetings involving all concerned Department Heads and acts as the relevant meeting lead. Creates regional business maintenance and development plans. Creates account plans for assigned Clients and proactively maintains them. Represents the Company in professional conferences and events. Develops promotional material and reviews promotional material prepared by other Business Development staff. Recruits, trains, and oversees activities of the Business Development staff. Qualifications: BSc in Business or Life Sciences. At least 5 years’ experience in account management within the pharma and biotech market. A track record in promoting CRO services is desirable. Excellent command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of any other language will be an advantage. Very good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Knowledge of project management and revenue tracking software. Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills. Result-oriented approach. Ability to work in a team as well as independently in relation to the assigned accounts. Good people management skills. Flexible approach to changing environment. Willingness to travel.
