We’re working with a major UK infrastructure organisation at the heart of national logistics and trade, looking to appoint a Health & Safety Partner to play a key role in shaping and delivering a progressive safety culture. This is a high-impact, visible role where you’ll influence operations across a complex, multi-activity environment—combining strategic input with hands-on delivery.
You’ll act as a trusted partner to operational leaders, driving safety performance and embedding best practice across a varied, high-risk setting.
Key responsibilities:- Partner with leaders to improve H&S performance and culture
- Provide expert advice on risk, governance and compliance
- Lead incident investigations, audits and reporting
- Support emergency planning, contractor management & critical controls
- Deliver training, coaching and behavioural safety initiatives
- Contribute to ISO 45001 systems and wider safety strategy
About You
You’re a proactive, solutions-focused H&S professional who thrives in operational environments and can influence at all levels.
Essential:- NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent)
- Experience in complex or high-risk environments
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation
- Experience with audits, investigations and compliance
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001
- Full UK driving licence
- Background in infrastructure, logistics, marine, construction or similar
- Experience with contractor management / CDM
- Exposure to behavioural safety or continuous improvement
- Interest in using digital/AI tools to enhance safety culture
