We’re working with a major UK infrastructure organisation at the heart of national logistics and trade, looking to appoint a Health & Safety Partner to play a key role in shaping and delivering a progressive safety culture. This is a high-impact, visible role where you’ll influence operations across a complex, multi-activity environment—combining strategic input with hands-on delivery.

You’ll act as a trusted partner to operational leaders, driving safety performance and embedding best practice across a varied, high-risk setting.

Key responsibilities:
  • Partner with leaders to improve H&S performance and culture
  • Provide expert advice on risk, governance and compliance
  • Lead incident investigations, audits and reporting
  • Support emergency planning, contractor management & critical controls
  • Deliver training, coaching and behavioural safety initiatives
  • Contribute to ISO 45001 systems and wider safety strategy

About You

You’re a proactive, solutions-focused H&S professional who thrives in operational environments and can influence at all levels.

Essential:
  • NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent)
  • Experience in complex or high-risk environments
  • Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation
  • Experience with audits, investigations and compliance
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
  • Background in infrastructure, logistics, marine, construction or similar
  • Experience with contractor management / CDM
  • Exposure to behavioural safety or continuous improvement
  • Interest in using digital/AI tools to enhance safety culture
