A market leading UK technology distributor is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to lead and grow its Photonics & Imaging division. This is a senior, hands-on role combining key account ownership, team leadership, and strategic growth, working with cutting-edge imaging, optics and photonics technologies across sectors including defence, scientific, medical, industrial and advanced manufacturing.

Home based role, average once a month in the South East based office.

What you'll be doing:

  • Driving new business and design-in opportunities with high-value OEM customers
  • Managing and developing a specialist field sales team
  • Owning key customer relationships from engineer level through to C-suite
  • Leading negotiations, closing complex technical sales and building long-term recurring revenue
  • Shaping and delivering the Photonics & Imaging growth strategy

What we're looking for:

  • Proven sales management experience within imaging, photonics, optics or thermal cameras
  • Strong knowledge of OEM and scientific sales cycles
  • Technical background (Engineering, Physics or similar)
  • Confident communicator with commercial edge and strategic mindset
  • Comfortable operating in a field-based, customer-facing role
