About the role
This is not a standard finance role. We are recruiting the right person across the full spectrum—from Finance Manager through to Finance Director—tailoring responsibilities, level within the business and remuneration to the experience and value they bring. You will work directly alongside the Managing Directors, gain exposure to strategic decision‑making and commercial finance, and be given the support and responsibility to develop into a senior finance leader as the business continues to grow.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Producing monthly management accounts and board reporting
- Building financial models to support business planning, forecasting and investment decisions
- Cash flow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning
- Monitoring stock exposure across live events, identifying financial risk and protecting profitability
- Leading the credit control function, improving debtor performance and cash collection
- Managing payroll and ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Delivering meaningful commercial reporting and financial insight to the leadership team
- Working alongside the Managing Directors on pricing, profitability and strategic planning
- Developing scalable financial systems, controls and reporting processes
- Managing relationships with accountants, banks, suppliers and external advisers
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, margin and overall business performance
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Finance Director
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence business decisions
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience building financial models and forecasting business performance
- Knowledge of credit control, cash flow management and financial reporting
- A professional who enjoys improving systems and building scalable processes
- Confident communicator who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders
- Experience using Xero (desirable)
- AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualifications are welcomed but not essential for the right person
