Our client is recruiting a permanent Site Manager to work on food retail shopfitting projects across the UK. The client is a main contractor who specialise in projects in the retail, commercial and industrial sectors. The company have offices across the UK. This position will report into the companies Leeds office. They and have an excellent reputation and history of producing quality, fast track fit out projects across retail the sector. Projects can be nationwide so you must be willing to travel and to lodge away (lodgings and expenses will be provided). The Role: You will manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with our quality and cost objectives, playing a key role in fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, while upholding our strong commitment to health and safety. Responsibilities: * Assisting the Project Manager in developing a practical programme, site logistics and planning of successful delivery. * Provide onsite supervision and effective management of site labour * Ensure strict compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures * Deliver projects in line with agreed programmes and deadlines * Maintain awareness of project costs & budgets during delivery stage * Oversee and manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to agreed methods of working * Liaise with Equipment Hire to ensure plant, equipment, skips etc are well managed * Ensure trades and subcontractors are scheduled and coordinated to avoid clashes and ensure smooth delivery * Drive collaboration between all onsite trades to achieve a well-coordinated build process * Attend internal pre-start meetings, identifying risks and opportunities * Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote a safety-first culture Experience and Qualifications required: * 5+ year’s experience within a Site Management role on shopfitting or interior fit out projects. * CSCS * SMSTS/SSSTS * First Aid at Work, * Asbestos Awareness * Good IT skills * Excellent interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills
