We’re recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager for our client in Leeds.
The company are a main contractor who work on construction, refurbishment and fit out projects across the north of England.
The company work on a lot of projects in the public sector on court houses, DWP, offices, healthcare and education buildings.
They are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager who is an allrounder who can deal with the client, manage projects, programming with excellent communication and organisation skills.
Some bid and tendering experience would also be useful.
Duties
- Managing project teams and being responsible for managing multiple projects throughout the region.
- Producing project plans and setting programming
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and project management teams
- Overseeing the selection of project sub-contractors Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met
- Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained
- Development and training of staff
Requirement
- Previous experience working for Main Contractors in a Contracts Manager role
- Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering a wide range of construction projects including new build construction and refurbishments
- Detailed knowledge of construction methods and technology
- Strong people management skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to plan and programme construction projects
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- IT literate
