Key responsibilities

  • WordPress updates, backups and maintenance
  • WordPress troubleshooting and bug fixing
  • Triage new WordPress maintenance requests, ensuring projects are properly allocated, deadlines are met, and clients are happy with the outcome
  • Track and enforce service-level agreements to ensure timely resolution of website projects and tickets
  • Quantity control and testing to ensure deliverables meet a high technical and creative standard
  • Complete audits on the sites we manage to ensure standards are being met
  • Work within WordPress CMS to update content, import data, add imagery etc
  • Assist in collating product data for Ecommerce websites, including technical data and imagery
  • Optimising website performance and speed
  • Assisting the team with various admin duties

Required skills and qualities

  • Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins (including WooCommerce)
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery and PHP
  • Experience with Advanced Custom Fields Pro (ACF Pro) and custom post types
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap)
  • Knowledge of cross browser testing, responsive design principles and mobile-first development
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Knowledge with server management - DNS settings, hosting, c-panel
  • Experience working with bespoke or third party APIs
  • SEO best practices
