Our client are looking for an organised and detail-focused person to support the day-to-day running of Quality & Technical function within an existing team. This is a varied administrative and coordination role that involves managing technical information, specifications, supplier documentation and customer requirements across multiple projects and product areas. The role would suit someone who enjoys structured, desk-based work and is comfortable handling detailed information accurately and efficiently.

A large part of the role involves keeping information accurate, up to date and well organised, while ensuring requests from customers, suppliers and colleagues are followed through in a timely manner. You will work closely with colleagues in the UK and overseas, as well as suppliers and customers, becoming a key support contact for technical and quality administration across the business. There is opportunity for the role to develop further over time as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Administration & Documentation
    • Maintain and update raw material specifications and technical documentation
    • Complete customer questionnaires, specifications and technical forms
    • Manage supplier approval documentation and technical records
    • Ensure supplier certifications and related documents remain current
    • Maintain organised technical files, trackers and internal records
    • Support the management of sample tracking and related documentation
    • Coordinate Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and other product documentation where required
    • Liaise with suppliers and laboratories regarding technical information and testing
  • Customer & Supplier Support
    • Respond to day-to-day technical requests from customers, the internal team and suppliers
    • Follow up outstanding documentation and technical queries
    • Support communication relating to product quality queries and customer requests
    • Assist with technical administration linked to customer projects and new product activity
    • Build good working relationships with the internal team, suppliers, customers and third parties
  • Quality & Team Support
    • Support the maintenance of quality systems and procedures
    • Help maintain accurate logs and records relating to suppliers, complaints and technical documentation
    • Work closely with colleagues across Sales, Logistics, Finance and Operations
    • Provide administrative support across the wider business where required

Experience & Qualifications

The following would be beneficial, but are not essential:

  • Experience within manufacturing, technical administration or quality systems
  • Experience completing specifications or technical questionnaires
  • A food-related qualification or background in a technical or quality role
  • Good Microsoft Excel and administrative skills
