Our client is a proven entrepreneur who has scaled and sold 3 logistics businesses operating throughout the UK and Western Europe, offering 3&4PL solutions allied to own fleet operations. He has also offered warehousing up to 250,000 sq ft for pallet storage, cross docking, pick pack, rework, and container de-stuffing, all ambient.
He is looking for a Commercial Director business partner who wants an equity stake from day one in his next start-up logistics business. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who has direct contact with a healthy client base, past and present. Ideally, they would already have subcontracted many loads, although this is not essential; that's a big plus.
The individual would essentially head up this embryonic business with full financial and commercial support from the CEO at a base location of their choosing. The principal area of logistics experience needed is preferably ambient, with fresh and chilled being an option. The FTL market would make up the core activity, with LTL being an inevitable part of that. Groupage pallet networks are all part of the above, entirely through 3/4P.
