About the Role

Im recruiting on behalf of an established international logistics provider that is looking for an experienced Freight & Logistics Business Development Manager to drive new business across air, road, and sea freight services. This is a high-impact commercial role suited to a driven sales professional who excels at winning new accounts and developing long-term, profitable customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business across air, road, and sea freight markets.
  • Drive lead generation through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and market research.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospect through to close.
  • Develop tailored multimodal freight solutions across air freight, groupage, LTL/FTL, and ocean services.
  • Work closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth delivery and margin growth.
  • Maintain a strong commercial presence within your assigned markets and trade lanes.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success in business development within freight forwarding, logistics, or multimodal transport.
  • Strong track record in lead generation and converting new business opportunities.
  • Good understanding of UK-Europe and global freight flows across air, road, and sea.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and close profitable deals.
