Job title: Time Critical / Express Operator - Nights (4 on 4 off)

About the role
An established, independent Heathrow forwarder is growing its Express and Time Critical desk and is hiring two experienced night-shift operators. You’ll run AOG, NFO and express consignments end to end, from booking through customs to invoicing.
- 4 on, 4 off nights, 19:00-07:00
- Averages 38.5 hours a week over an 8-week rota
What you’ll do
- Coordinate multimodal express and time-critical shipments by air and road, both import and export
- Prepare and submit import and export customs entries, and check your own entries are accurate and compliant
- Handle HMRC queries through to closure, keeping duty and tax exposure to a minimum
- Run the operational inbox, resolve customer issues and keep clients updated through the night
- Do your own job costing and timely sales invoicing
- Work with airlines, hauliers, co-loaders and the day team for smooth handovers
What you’ll need
- Proven AOG / NFO / express operations experience
- Both import and export operational and customs experience, including submitting entries yourself
- Solid HMRC customs procedural knowledge
- Confidence with Excel and freight systems
- A calm, mature approach under pressure, and good communication skills
Nice to have
- BoxTop and ASM Sequoia (preferred but not essential)
