The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity to join a small, ambitious and friendly freight forwarding business as a Senior FCL Operations Executive. This role suits an experienced freight professional with strong hands-on FCL knowledge and a commercial mindset.
Youll manage FCL and cross-trade shipments end-to-end, support customer relationships, and play a key role in developing the companys growing FCL offering. This is not a pure sales role but you will be involved in client meetings, commercial discussions and identifying new revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage FCL import/export shipments from quotation and booking through to final delivery.
Handle cross-trade / third-country movements and coordinate overseas origins and destinations.
Liaise and negotiate with shipping lines, agents, hauliers and suppliers.
Prepare competitive quotations for shipments, tenders and projects.
Maintain excellent communication with customers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Build strong relationships with existing and new clients.
Attend customer and business development meetings where required.
Work with the wider team to identify and convert commercial opportunities.
Ensure shipments are managed efficiently while protecting commercial margins.
Resolve operational issues proactively and deliver high levels of customer service.
Support the continued growth of the companys FCL and cross-trade offering.
Essential Experience & Skills
Strong, hands-on FCL freight forwarding experience.
