Are you a project freight or heavy-lift business development professional with an established network across EPCs, OEMs or the renewables / BESS sector? This is an opportunity to drive growth in the UK projects office of a global project forwarder.
About the role
Our client is growing its UK projects office and is hiring a Business Development Manager. You'll win and develop project cargo business across the UK and Europe, with a strong focus on OEMs and BESS. It's a mid-level role with clear room to progress.
Key responsibilities
Win new project cargo business from EPC/EPCM contractors, OEMs, fabricators and renewables / BESS developers
Build relationships with procurement managers and logistics heads at tier-1 contractors and equipment vendors
Engage with projects early, from pre-FEED stage through to contract award
Grow market share across energy, infrastructure, industrial plant and grid infrastructure projects
Work closely with the projects operations team to secure and deliver awarded business
Skills and experience required
3–5 years' experience in project freight forwarding, project cargo, heavy lift or specialised transport
Commercial exposure to EPCs, OEMs (transformers, turbines, modular skids, heavy industrial machinery) or renewables / BESS. Operations-to-sales backgrounds are welcome
An active network across the UK and European project logistics market
A strong understanding of project lifecycles and project cargo procurement
Ambition, energy and a drive to grow with the role
Please note: this role needs project freight or heavy-lift experience. Applicants from a general freight forwarding background won't be considered.
