Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder & Client Management
    • Build and sustain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders (e.g. Procurement Directors, IT Directors, Programme Leads).
    • Act as a trusted advisor on procurement strategy, future requirements, and service optimisation.
  • Service Delivery & Pipeline Ownership
    • Maintain a forward‑looking pipeline of Services Procurement needs.
    • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of large and/or complex SOWs, ensuring alignment with customer objectives.
  • Team Leadership
    • Line manage Services Procurement Specialists and oversee day‑to‑day coordination activity.
    • Foster a high‑performing, collaborative culture across internal teams and supplier networks.
  • Commercial & Operational Excellence
    • Ensure all services are delivered in line with our operating model and standards.
    • Lead supplier onboarding activities, including MSA and rate card negotiations.
    • Deliver against customer KPIs with a relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • Understanding of the key principles of contract law.
  • Experience in project or programme delivery, including management of subcontractors.
  • Proven ability to develop, inspire, and lead high‑performing teams.

Desirable

  • Experience in procurement—either operationally or within an outsourced/MSP environment.
  • CIPS or equivalent qualification.
  • Familiarity with UK public sector procurement.
  • Knowledge of public‑sector frameworks such as NEPRO, MSTAR.
