Onsite - Co. Dublin
Join our dynamic Engineering Capital Projects Team and take on a key role within our on-site Construction team, where you’ll work alongside Project Managers to drive the successful delivery of exciting construction projects at our fast-growing, industry-leading pharmaceutical site.
Responsibilities
- Ensure construction activities are executed in alignment with the approved project schedule.
- Lead interactive planning efforts throughout the construction phase to maintain project momentum.
- Oversee and coordinate contractors across mechanical, electrical, and CSA disciplines to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with the design team to resolve RFIs promptly during the construction phase.
- Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements and evaluate project feasibility.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage statutory and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Champion the implementation of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards on-site.
- Support Project Managers by reporting on progress and flagging issues at preconstruction, construction, and handover stages.
- Manage the project whiteboard to track key tasks, milestones, and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the design team during detailed design stages to ensure constructability is fully considered.
- Perform field-based quality checks to ensure compliance during construction activities.
- Review Construction System Dossiers submitted by contractors and communicate any discrepancies or issues.
- Authorize daily contractor permits, ensuring timely requests and proper closure by contractors.
- Participate in mechanical completion walkdowns with clients and contractors, as appropriate.
- Coordinate contractor resources during the construction phase, escalating any potential schedule risks due to coordination issues to the Project Manager for resolution.
Requirements
- Over 8 years of experience in Construction Project Management.
- Strong foundation in Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) disciplines, with solid knowledge of building services.
- Experience in pharmaceutical environments is a valuable asset.
- Proven track record of success in construction management with hands-on, site-based experience.
- Skilled in project planning and analysis tools, with proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Holds a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
