Head Resourcing is delighted to be working with a major transport operator as they look to hire an experienced IT Product Owner to lead the sourcing, development, and optimisation of digital and technology solutions across their organisation. Our client is the largest operator in their industry in the UK and offers vital transport links throughout the UK.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the IT product vision, roadmap, and ongoing evolution of our clients business services and ebooking solutions across internal and customer-facing platforms.
  • Partner with business, customer-facing, and IT teams to design, source, and deliver valuable digital solutions.
  • Define, prioritise, and manage a single product backlog, translating business needs into clear outcomes, epics, and user stories.
  • Drive product success by defining and tracking KPIs, championing digital innovation, and modernising legacy capabilities.
  • Ensure compliant, secure delivery and successful adoption through strong stakeholder engagement, change management, and continuous improvement.

Skills you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Product Owner/Manager delivering customer- or colleague-facing digital products in live environments, with strong Agile (Scrum/SAFe) delivery experience.
  • Proven backlog ownership across the full product lifecycle, including user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritisation, and delivery to live service.
  • Customer-centric and data-driven, with the ability to translate complex problems into intuitive digital solutions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with modern SaaS platforms, integrations, and enterprise systems, with a strong focus on security, data governance, and compliance.
