We are looking for a Senior Product Designer contractor to take the lead on a high-impact initiative that will define the future of our clients' subscription experience. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and key business stakeholders to deliver both tactical improvements and strategic redesigns. If you thrive in ambiguous spaces and love shaping user experiences that drive real commercial outcomes, this is the project for you.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead discovery and user research to validate freemium models, pricing strategies, and monetisation opportunities through a deeply human-centred approach.
- Design end-to-end user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes that showcase the value of premium features and subscription options.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure design decisions align with broader goals.
- Facilitate workshops, co-creation sessions, and experience-mapping exercises to explore enhancements and future opportunities.
- Deliver polished, high-quality UI work in Figma, from early concepts to final design.
- Champion accessibility, usability, and design best practices to ensure every experience is inclusive and seamless.
- Support subscription management journeys covering cross-sell, upsell, and cancellation experiences.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience designing digital products, ideally within e-commerce or subscription-based SaaS. Experience with feature gating is a plus.
- Strong end-to-end UX/UI design capabilities, from discovery through delivery.
- Ability to frame and navigate ambiguous problems, define opportunities, and explore multiple design solutions.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills - comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Fluency in Figma and familiarity with whiteboarding/prototyping tools.
- Deep understanding of freemium models, pricing strategy, and designing experiences that drive conversion and retention.
- Experience with user research, including planning, execution, and synthesising insights.
- A commercial mindset: able to balance user value with business impact.
- Familiarity with experimentation, analytics, and evaluating design performance.
