About the Role
Head Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced QA Test Lead with deep expertise in Playwright, C#, TypeScript, and ReadyAPI. In this role, you will lead testing across multiple products, drive automation strategy, and guide a growing QA team of around 5. You'll work for a consultancy with a client involved in sectors such as energy, commodity trading, and technology. Unfortunately, this role does not offer sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA delivery and test strategy across multiple projects and teams
- Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks (Playwright - TypeScript, C#)
- Oversee API and UI test automation using tools like ReadyAPI and Playwright
- Ensure full scenario coverage, edge case testing, and strong regression validation
- Create and manage detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports (e.g. Allure, QMetry)
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps in Agile environments
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote testing best practices
- Track QA metrics, maintain quality heatmaps, and support release readiness
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in manual and automated testing, with extensive leadership experience
- Strong proficiency in Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript and C#
- Experience with ReadyAPI, Postman, and REST Assured for API testing
- Solid understanding of Agile testing, test case design, and Jira-based workflows
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g. QMetery) and reporting frameworks (e.g. Allure)
- CI/CD knowledge (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Experience mentoring QA staff and collaborating across teams
