Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Lead (Healthcare / MedTech)

Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Lead (Healthcare / MedTech) needed urgently for our Data & AI client based in Edinburgh. The right candidate must have extensive demonstrable experience setting up and overseeing a Portfolio Management Office, including the creation of strong project governance and best practices and the ability to drive consistency in project delivery, supporting project managers and senior stakeholders in meeting strategic goals. Candidates must have previous experience working within Medical Technology (MedTech), Healthcare IT / Technology or Scientific research environments. The role is Outside IR35 and requires candidates to work 1-2 days per week onsite in Edinburgh, though this may be negotiable to 1-2 days every fortnight. The PMO Lead will be responsible for maintaining effective control over our clients\’ Customer Project Portfolio, with the ability to prioritise and ensure that the organisation is executing the right projects, in the right order, and to the right standards-maximising strategic alignment, resource utilisation, and value delivery. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring successful project delivery by establishing frameworks, facilitating communication, and aligning project outcomes with business objectives. Due to the nature of our clients\’ customers, previous experience working with MedTech, Healthcare IT or in Medical Technology businesses is essential. Key Skills: Demonstrable experience as a PMO Lead / PMO Manager responsible for the creation or a Portfolio Management Office Prior experience managing a portfolio of 50+ projects , ideally within an IT organisation Previous experience working in MedTech, Healthcare IT or in a Medical Technology business. Strong understanding of portfolio, programme, and project management methodologies .
