Head of Controls Testing – IFRC – SOX – Global
Our global financial services client is seeking a hands-on Head of Financial Controls Testing to build and scale a new ICFR testing function.
With 1 day per week onsite in London or Nottingham, the position is inside IR35 with a rate banding of £800 – £880 per day, with the contract expected to last up to 18 months.
The client requires someone to oversee the planning and execution of control testing activities, including IT General Controls (ITGC), ensuring alignment with internal standards and regulatory US SOX standards.
You\’ll be responsible for establishing a team across international hubs, developing their SOX testing capabilities from the ground up. The client is seeking someone who leads by example with a level of expertise to develop teams and build confidence with key stakeholder groups.
Experience required –
- Proven experience in designing and building ICFR and SOX testing functions / programmes in global clients
- Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills, building trust with teams and senior stakeholders
- Background in external or internal audit, risk management, or internal controls within a corporate or consulting environment.
- Track record of identifying control weaknesses and driving meaningful improvements
