A well-known Edinburgh based organisation is currently seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst to join their team on a short initial 3-month Contract.
Working as part of a larger Transformation Programme, the successful candidate will be joining a key project to implement an industry-standard project management tool (Asta), looking to improve data quality, outdated information, and provide more depth/context to support effective decision-making.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver comprehensive process and data analysis to streamline existing workflows, eliminate duplicate data entry across multiple applications, and significantly improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
Key tasks will include:
- Map and document existing data flows end-to-end, including downstream systems & data warehouse integrations.
- Define and document data structures and flows to support redesigned processes, aligned with the agreed solution architecture.
- Validate design future-state processes incorporating the new project management tool (Asta).
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are clear for integration and implementation.
- Support change management activities by preparing process documentation and training materials where required.
Key skills & experience should include:
- Strong & expert data analysis skills, including understanding of data structures and flows.
- Extensive & proven experience in process analysis and mapping.
- The ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience supporting solution design and integration activities.
- 1st class stakeholder engagement and communication skills are ESSENTIAL.
- Experience working in small to medium-sized organisations/teams (or ability to adapt quickly to such environments).
- Any familiarity with the Asta Project Management solution would be HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS but not essential.
