Location: Dudley Hill, Bradford (with travel across the wider operational area)

Contract: 12 month contract

Day Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)

Important: Candidates must have clearance to a SC level and NPPV3.

We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a team of network specialists supporting a complex enterprise infrastructure environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of technologies including Cisco ACI, Nexus and Catalyst switches, Cisco ASA and Firepower firewalls, Checkpoint firewalls, Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, load balancers, VPNs, Teams Telephony, Azure and Microsoft 365 connectivity.

Key Skills Required

  • Cisco CCNP certified (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar network engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Cisco & Checkpoint firewalls
    • Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
    • TCP/IP, UDP, DNS and DHCP
    • NAT/PAT and ACLs
    • VLANs, Trunking, Port Channels and STP
    • IPSec VPNs
    • PKI and certificates
    • VoIP technologies (SIP, SBCs, ATAs)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi networks
  • Managing connectivity across on-premises and cloud data centres
  • Supporting VPN, Azure and Microsoft 365 services
  • Troubleshooting network and security issues
  • Contributing to local, regional and national IT projects
  • Ensuring secure, resilient and always-on network services

About You

  • Strong communicator with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to take ownership of tasks
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
  • Able to work collaboratively while also leading technical initiatives when required
  • Must have a full driving licence
  • Must have SC level clearance and NPPV3.
