We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Head of Membership to join the founding location of the 67 Pall Mall Members’ Club, located in the heart of London’s St. James’s. 67 Pall Mall is a Private Members’ Club, founded by wine lovers, for wine lovers, and is home to the finest wine list in the world. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Membership to lead all aspects of our Membership function in London. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving member acquisition, enhancing engagement, and maximising membership revenue, while acting as a key ambassador for the brand. You will lead the Membership team and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver a best‑in‑class member journey.
About 67 Pall Mall: With 5,000+ wines representing 52 countries, with 1,000 available by-the-glass, the award-winning 67 Pall Mall is the home of fine wine. The Club boasts a 17-strong sommelier team, many of whom are winners of several international competitions and elected #1 sommeliers in London. Members benefit from the low‑margin wine list and can store their own wines at the Club in our original 1930s bank vault. They also have access to an impressive events calendar and much more.
Key Responsibilities
- Membership Strategy & Growth: Develop and deliver a creative membership acquisition strategy across multiple channels; Build and manage a strong prospect pipeline and member referrals; Drive revenue growth through membership fees and increased member spend; Strengthen the Club’s positioning and global brand desirability.
- Member Experience & Engagement: Lead the delivery of an outstanding end‑to‑end member journey; Collaborate with Events and Marketing teams to curate impactful programs; Increase member visits, engagement levels, and satisfaction; Act as the voice of the member, gathering and acting on feedback.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead, motivate and develop the Membership and Front of House teams; Foster a culture where every guest is viewed as a potential member; Work cross‑functionally across departments and with global clubs; Support new club openings with membership strategy and insights.
- Commercial & Operational Excellence: Monitor and analyse membership data and performance metrics; Identify opportunities to enhance revenue through tailored experiences; Ensure all membership communications and materials are of the highest standard; Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity in handling member data.
- Networking & Brand Representation: Act as a public‑facing ambassador for 67 Pall Mall; Build relationships within corporate, hospitality, and lifestyle sectors; Develop partnerships to enhance the member offering and experience.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all events comply with licensing, health & safety, and risk assessment requirements; Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct in line with company policy; Adhere to all Club standards, procedures, and codes of conduct.
About You: Proven experience in a senior membership, client engagement, or commercial role within a private members’ club, luxury hospitality, or similar environment; Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth; Exceptional relationship‑building and networking skills; Passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences; Highly organised with strong attention to detail; Confident communicator, able to engage senior stakeholders; A proactive leader with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
