The Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join recruitment at Elis UK. We are building a more proactive, direct and commercially focused internal recruitment function, and we're looking for a Recruitment Partner who wants to play a key part in that journey. This isn't a role that's simply about processing vacancies or waiting for applications to arrive. You'll partner directly with managers across the business to understand their recruitment challenges, identify the talent they need and develop the right sourcing strategy to find it.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with hiring managers across your region to understand their people plans, vacancies and future recruitment requirements.
- Build strong relationships with managers and become their go-to recruitment partner for attraction, sourcing and market insight.
- Lead recruitment briefings to understand the role, market, candidate profile and appropriate sourcing strategy.
- Advise and challenge hiring managers where appropriate around candidate availability, salary expectations, recruitment timescales and attraction strategies.
- Manage recruitment campaigns from initial briefing through to offer, delivering a high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Take a proactive approach to identifying talent rather than relying solely on applications.
- Use LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases, job boards, referrals and direct headhunting to identify and engage prospective candidates.
- Build targeted talent pipelines for business-critical and regularly recruited roles.
- Develop talent maps and market intelligence to help the business understand where the best candidates can be found.
- Create engaging and targeted recruitment campaigns across LinkedIn, Indeed, CV-Library and other relevant channels.
- Build relationships with universities, colleges, professional networks and other talent communities.
- Support the development of our employee referral and early careers strategies.
- Help increase direct hiring and reduce our reliance on recruitment agencies.
- Deliver a positive and professional candidate journey from first contact through to offer.
- Work closely with hiring managers to improve interview quality, pace and candidate experience.
- Use recruitment data and market insight to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate recruitment activity through our ATS and ensure vacancies progress effectively through the recruitment process.
- Contribute ideas to continuously improve how Elis attracts, assesses and hires talent.
- Support the development of our employer brand and help tell the story of why people should build their careers with Elis.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys recruitment and wants to be more than an order-taker. You'll be comfortable partnering with hiring managers, proactively approaching passive candidates and taking ownership of your recruitment market.
- Previous experience within recruitment, either in-house or agency.
- Strong experience recruiting Maintenance Engineers, Engineering professionals and/or Sales professionals would be an advantage.
- A proven track record of direct sourcing and candidate attraction, particularly within competitive or hard-to-fill markets.
- Confidence proactively approaching and engaging passive candidates rather than relying solely on advert response.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases, job boards and other sourcing tools.
- The ability to build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and business-critical roles.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to advise and constructively challenge hiring managers.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach to recruitment.
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns across different locations and disciplines.
- An understanding of recruitment data and market insight and how these can be used to improve hiring decisions.
