Join Azumi Group. We are looking for a Mid-Weight Interior Designer with in-depth experience in high-end hospitality fit-outs to join our growing In-House design team to deliver luxury restaurant projects around the globe. This is an office-based job.

As a Mid-Weight Interior Designer, your role is to contribute to the design process from the earliest stages, supporting the team with concept research, creative ideas, technical drawings, FF&E and material development. You will work across the Azumi brand portfolio, including new projects, refurbishments, pop-ups and occasional CapEx projects, helping to deliver projects with exceptional craftsmanship and forward thinking.

Main Duties

  • Assist in delivering strong and inspiring concept design presentations, including mood boards, hand sketches, material palettes and SketchUp models, bringing imaginative and fresh thinking to each project.
  • Produce accurate AutoCAD drawing packages, including layout plans, elevations, joinery details and detailed interior elements, alongside specifications, schedules and reports.
  • Research and source materials and FF&E, develop material and FF&E schedules and prototypes, and design bespoke furniture, lighting and, where relevant, custom upholstery.
  • Collaborate with Senior and Lead Designers to develop layouts that consider the guest experience, confidently communicate design concepts and contribute to the development and delivery of projects.
  • Learn and evolve the restaurant brand’s DNA and apply to brand projects as applicable.
  • Attend design meetings, monitor project progress and manage your own timelines and suppliers’ timelines, while supporting Senior Designers, addressing challenges with solution-oriented thinking and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Inspire the team with fresh ideas and innovative design solutions.

  • Proven experience as a Mid-Weight Interior Designer in a comparable setting.
  • Hospitality or Luxury Retail experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Suite and InDesign.
