About the role

As a supply teacher with EMAT, you’ll be deployed where schools need cover short-term, daily, or block assignments across both primary and secondary settings. You’ll step into classes, follow existing plans (or adapt if needed), and maintain high standards of teaching and behaviour. You’ll be welcomed into our network of schools and supported by central teams and existing staff.

What we look for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience in primary or secondary teaching
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and excellent classroom management
  • Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset
  • Commitment to professional conduct, safeguarding, and high standards
