Many GPs enter the profession wanting to spend real time with patients, only to find themselves pushed from one appointment to the next. In their private patient clinics, you’ll have the space to practise differently - without the rush, with access to clear referral pathways, and with patients who come looking for proactive, personalised guidance.
As the UK’s largest employer of private GPs specialising in corporate healthcare, this client can offer you the chance to focus on clinical conversations that feel meaningful again, working primarily with London-based corporate professionals who value clarity and continuity.
As a GP / Advanced Health Screening Doctor you’ll use your time to dig deeper into lifestyle, prevention and long-term health, carrying out detailed health assessments and more routine GP appointments. Many patients come through corporate contracts, so you’ll be supporting people who are motivated to understand their health and ready to make changes that fit demanding working lives.
With access to advanced diagnostics and respected specialists, you can recommend plans that feel realistic and backed by a pathway you trust, rather than reacting to symptoms in isolation.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver pre-booked appointments that range from focused 15-minute reviews up to 1 hour for health screenings.
- Deliver personalised GP consultations and health screenings
- Carry out procedures such as blood draws, vaccinations, smear tests and ECGs
- Use diagnostics and rapid pathways to support timely decisions
- Provide tailored guidance on lifestyle, risk and long-term wellbeing
- Refer patients to specialists and therapies when clinically appropriate
What else you can expect:
- Community: You’ll be part of a network of over 180 private GPs, regular peer sessions where clinical discussions are encouraged, not rushed.
- Growth: You’ll have the chance to develop specialist interests and clinics in areas such as menopause, neurodiversity or men’s health, supported by funded CPD and access to further studies such as a Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine or Occupational Health.
- Recognition: Your contribution won’t be measured by patient volume; instead, your impact is recognised through patient outcomes, referral quality, collaborative working and the time you invest in preventative care.
- Compassion: Your schedule is built to protect your work-life balance, with no home visits, no weekends and no out-of-hours work, giving you time to practise medicine that feels rewarding without sacrificing your own wellbeing.
What they are looking for:
They are looking for a special kind of GP to join them – someone who is excited to grow, learn new skills and who shares our proactive, patient-first approach with a genuine interest in preventative and lifestyle medicine.
As well as this you’ll:
- Hold a GMC registration and inclusion on the UK GP register (performers list not required)
- Have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
- Be able to conduct smear tests, vaccinations, blood draws, and ECGs
- Demonstrate basic health screening skills, though full training will be provided for advanced diagnostics unique to HCA UK
- Have exceptional IT Skills, digital experience for Health Care Report writing.
