Are you a skilled Theatre Practitioner looking for a flexible locum opportunity in a dynamic and supportive team? We are currently seeking an experienced scrub practitioner for a 3-month locum contract, to start as soon as possible, with potential for extension.
We're looking for individuals who are:
- Elective orthopaedic scrub and arthroplasty experience is essential.
- If you are also trained in ophthalmology, this will be viewed favourably, offering additional opportunities for flexible theatre support.
- Three long days per week, or four shorter days. Potentially some Saturdays.
Deliver expert scrub assistance for elective orthopaedic procedures, with a strong emphasis on primary and revision arthroplasty. Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile theatre environment, ensuring all instruments, implants, and equipment are available and set up accurately. Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and patientâcentred surgical care. Uphold theatre protocols, infectionâcontrol standards, and patient safety procedures. When required (if dualâskilled), provide scrub support within ophthalmology theatres.
